About This Recruitment
Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the AFCAT 02/2026 Recruitment Notification for the July 2027 course commencing batch. The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches of the Indian Air Force. Both male and female Indian citizens are eligible to apply online from 20 May 2026 to 19 June 2026 through the official AFCAT portal. The recruitment also includes NCC Special Entry for Flying Branch and Meteorology Entry. More than 300 vacancies are expected under AFCAT 02/2026 recruitment cycle. Candidates selected through AFCAT will undergo training at Air Force Academy Dundigal, Hyderabad from July 2027. The selection process includes Online Examination, AFSB Interview, Document Verification and Medical Examination. Selected candidates receive starting salary around Rs. 56,100 per month along with Military Service Pay, Flying Allowance, Technical Allowance, DA, HRA and several Air Force benefits.
